Most reptiles have very sharp sense of smell, mostly snakes, and those lizards, which have forked tongue. So I think you place its food near it. It will sense it and automatically rush towards it and it will have its share of food to its fill. Don’t worry. It is a natural process that animals always find their food when they get hungry.
