    2 Years Mare With Muscle Tremors, Collapses, Disoriented, Slow Deep Breathing, Bowels Are Moving Regularly, Eating Fine, We Get Her Up And She Tries To Lay Back Down. Collic Symptoms But Does Not Appear To Be. Please Can You Help?

    I am a multiple horse owner but do not have alot of experience with these types of issues.

    I thought it sounded like colic too, but if you're sure it isn't, is HYPP a possibility? The symptoms sound similar to your mare's illness, and it's an inherited condition so you may be able to find out if it's in her breeding. For a list of symptoms and advice, please click here in any case, if she can't get up she needs to see a vet quickly.
