My Dog Loves Shadows/reflections? How Do We Prevent This?
My dog is a cavalier king charles spaniel, he gets walked twice a day. A short walk in the morning and on the evening he has about an hours worth of exercise. Recently we went camping and on a night time there was a lot of torches, which he loved. Since then he is obsessed with shadows/light reflections?... It's driving us mad, we've occupied him with playing games etc but once he spots a shadow/reflection he goes skits and starts getting very excited!... How do we prevent this?

You should get a behavioral trainer. They can help you to learn how to distract him from this, and they are usually good at this, I've seen it work with other peoples dogs. Hope this helps.

Think it must be something about King Charles My boyfriend has one and he has always been obsessed with shadows and reflections. As soon as he sees one, that is it for a while, he goes into his shadow/reflection hunting mode and is extremely excited. His eyes go a little crazy and you can't really control him. Good Luck!!
