    How Many Laps Do I Have To Do To Complete A Mile If The Track Is 0.6 Miles?

    I'm trying to walk a mile around my neighborhood but I need to know how many times I have to 0.6 tenths of a mile to complete a mile

    One lap equals 60% or .60 of 1.0 mile. So if you run 1 lap you have run .60 of a mile or 60% so you would have to run an additional .40 or 40% of the track in order to complete a full mile.

      X laps    1 miles
       
      cross multiply   .6 x X= .6X   1 x 1=1
      divide each side by .6    x=1.667 laps
