How Can You Tell The Sex On A Freshwater Turtle?
I just found this turtle today while my mom was mowing. I searched it online and found it was a freshwater turtle. I named the turtle Speedy. It is very fast. I always call him Speedy, but actually, have no idea if it is a boy or a girl. We have a creek beside our house about 200 feet and we think that is where Speedy came from. Speedy was walking on the ground from the direction of the creek. All i want to know is if Speedy is a boy or a girl

It is very difficult to tell sex in the freshwater other turtles until you compare side by side both sex. Usually male turtle have longer tails than females. The males have slightly concave bottom shell while females have round top shell. But if you take him to vit which might help you in telling sex.
