How Long Do Points Stay On Your Licence?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Depends on your state and the number of points. Typically 3 years: If you go a full year without any other infractions, they may reduce the number of points on your record, and some states change them to an "inactive" status, like probation - if you stay good they go away, if not, they come back.
If you have several points, they may reduce a couple points each year you're clean, and you may be able to work off points by taking a class or exam.
