Google Groups is a feature on Google which allows people with to search for a group of their particular interest. Once part of this group, a user can interact with other members of the group using a forum, inwhich users can rate each others' posts.

Members of the group can create a profile page, which display various information such as name, website, whereabouts they are living, their blogs etc.

Users can join a Google Group by subscribing to it. Google Groups is similar to Yahoo! Groups in the way that users can add or invite new members to join.

Google Groups are given their own URL, as well as an email address.

As well as subscribing to a Google Group, users can also create their own group. When a new group is created, the user will need to fill out some information, such as the name of the new group and also a description i.e. what the group is about.
