The number of households according to the 2001 population census were 4, 185. A Mainline train service connects Attleborough to both Norwich and Cambridge.
The town of Attleborough is popularly believed to have been established by King Atlinge, who ruled over both the province and the burgh. It is not clear where the original foundations of the town have disappeared over a long period of time. The town of Attleborough is located at a latitude of one degree and one minute to the north and at a longitude of 52 degrees and 31 minutes to the east.
