I Have A Cat Who Is Urinating In Her Food Dish And Other Areas Of The House...what Should I Do?

I have a female cat, she is 4 years old and was spayed as a kitten. She is now urinating in her food bowl and other spots in the house. We cannot have any throw rugs because she will urinate on it. We actually rescued her from outside as a kitten probably when she was just weeks old. We are unsure what to do at this point and have a few other cats and they do get along with her.

If your cat was house-trained before and has suddenly started urinating everywhere, then something is wrong. She may have an infection or other illness; or if there has been some kind of change in her environment she may be reacting to that. It sounds like she needs to see a vet to find out if there is an illness; in the meantime, you may find these hintshelpful.

This is normal behaviour your cat is simply marking it's territory if you stop or scold it; it'll start to leave you surprises in unwanted places or it might run away.
The best solution is to leave a couple of plants in the hose where the cat can mark it's territory and everyone is happy
