It all depends on the dress. However, I always feel better when you wear lighter toned heels/flats with dark colored dresses. You can really pull off any color as long as you have the proper accessories to go along with the outfit. And if you plan on not wearing much, then a simple silver necklace or bracelet with silver shoes.
