From 1428 the 13th Earl of Warwick Richard de Beauchamp was Henry VI's official tutor but Henry was also influenced by Henry Beaufort, and later William de la Pole, 1st Duke of Suffolk.

The history of England is synonymous with monarchy and power. This nation has probably been at the helm of world affairs ever since the first documentation of events. The royal lineages in England, like those in France and Russia, were linked in some way and contributed collectively to the richness of the empire. Notable among the rulers is the 'child king' or Henry VI.
The young prince lost his father, King Henry V, when he was very young. His mother continued to groom the young prince and heir to the throne, under the supervision of loyal relatives and seniors. The young Henry VI had a number of dedicated teachers, who were sworn to the protection of the kingdom, till the prince came of age. One of the teachers of Henry VI, who had a lasting impression on the boy, was Bishop Henry Beufort. He was Henry V's uncle and a trusted elder of the court. Major contributions to the effort of grooming Henry VI as monarch of England were also made by the Duke of Bedford and the Duke of Gloucester, the eldest and youngest sons of Henry IV. They each assumed the duty of preparing the destined monarch of England to take over his royal duties and responsibilities in due time. Henry VI of England ruled between 1422 and 1461.
