Which Hi-Fis Have The Best Standby Power Rating?
Our stereo sucks 16 watts when in standby, and 40 watts when in use (typically). I've seen a few stereos around that claim under 1watt of power consumption when in standby, but are most of them like this? Are there any much better?

I don't know about now but the one i was always partial to was pioneer or jvc stereo systems. www.pronto.com

what exactly are you looking for ? are you wanting a way to keep your equipment powered up without having it on,like when your computer goes to sleep.
okay, i have looked at a few sites but have only found energy star ratings but no information about the power usage while sitting idle. but the pioneer systems are energy star rated.
