Is It Possible For Two People To Simultaneously Operate 1,300 W Hair Dryers On The Same 120 V Circuit Without Tripping A 15 A Circuit Breaker? Explain

Answer Question

I suppose if the circuit breaker were to fail it is possible.
A 1,300 W hair dryer on a 120v circuit should draw 10.8 amps. (1300 divided by 120). Therefore, 2 hair dryers would be drawing 21.6 amps, enough to trip a single 15 amp breaker. Power (Watts) = current (amps) x voltage (v).
