My wife didn't start baby food with our first child for almost a Year. It depends on how long you can handle the constant have to be there everyday with no breaks. We went on a one day outting without the baby and my wife was in pain couldn't wait to get back home. I hope this helps.

My mom started giving my baby nephew stage 1 baby food and baby cereal when he was 4 months old. At 6 months old she is giving him stage 2 baby food.

Well i know doctors say at about 4-5 months...i started letting my baby taste random food, at about 3 month and about a month later i started giving him some food...i was never one for for the store bought baby food...i give him home cooked veggies
