Unfortunately we are never really going to achieve the same look as the celebrities do. Secretly I think they wear false eyelashes whilst advertising certain brands as they never seem to work that well on anybody else! Either that or they wear around 50 layers of the stuff!

There are some good mascara's out there but you will have to lower your expectations as no mascara usually gives you the celebrity look. Max factor's 'Masterpiece' is a really good one to try. It doesn't quite make your lashes look like it showed on the 'Memoirs of a Geisha' advert, but it does still work really well. It separates each individual lash and its unique brush helps to apply the mascara evenly and gently. Another good one which people find is the Maybelline 'Great Lashes' range. That is quite cheap yet hundreds of women worldwide love it!

Overall the best thing to do is to get rid of the image in your head of what you want your lashes to look like. Next go out and buy whichever mascara you want and experiment! With hundreds of different ones out there you should find something that you like!

I used to model and i can tell u that mascara and makeup models wear "demi-lashes". They're easy to wear and last 24 hours. Buy them at wal-mart just don't get carried away on the length. Ok? Good luck! Kt

Revlon Lashfantasy! Put on two coats of primer (you will see that after your lashes finish they continue on in white... that is simply primer extrending your lashes), then two or three coats of mascara, making sure to brush in between each coat to keep the lashes individual. It's absolutely amazing.

You aren't necessarily doing anything wrong with the mascara. What you are probably doing wrong is trying to imitate someone who has possibly sat for over an hour having her make-up done professionally, when you should concentrate on making something that fits your looks and your personality.

You can also get some tips by getting a make over done at local shop which sells mascara.
