Most football teams now have scouts all over the place looking for a player with that little bit of extra talent that makes him/her stand out. If you are lucky enough to be picked out by a scout then you might have to have some tri-outs to compete against other people for a place in an academy or reserve team. From here if you play exceptionally you might get your chance to play in the first team where you will be playing professionally and be competing against professional teams.

I would suggest that you log onto a football team website who have got excellent records for bringing players through their youth teams and take a lot of pride in their youngsters. One of these teams is Crewe Alexandra Fc. Log onto their website and take it from there.
