1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The color red belongs to the category of warm colors and is known to be one of the warmest colors. The color red is used to symbolize different things and its interpretations range from representing blood, infatuation to love. Whatever the interpretation may be, the color red represents strong emotions and it does not have to do with intellect. For these strong emotions, it is often considered to represent passion, excitement, energy, danger, speed, strength or even aggression.

According to Henry Dreyfus, the color red is a symbol of blood and fire out of which blood is the symbol of life and fire of vitality. Red according to him also symbolizes the sun or energy which again is vital for life.
