Who Was Anne Boleyn?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Anne Boleyn was the second wife of King Henry the Eighth of England. She was imprisoned in the Tower of London in 1536 on false charges; historians quote that the main reason was the king wanted to remarry. Some time after being imprisoned, Anne Boleyn was executed with a sword. Many people claim to have seen the execution in the Tower even after two hundred years.

People say that they have seen the whole event before their eyes like a hazy replay. The scenario repeats itself in slow motion, quite unclear and unfocused, with a misty haze hanging around it, adding to the eeriness of the event.

Once, an instructor was lecturing on British Kings and Queens and showing a family around the Tower of London. While talking about Anne Boleyn, he mentioned that the Queen was executed in the very room they were standing in with an axe. At the same instant, a little girl replied that Anne Boleyn was executed using a sword. The girl was actually right as Royalty were executed using swords. The girl's father replied that she hardly had any interest in this subject, how could she have known? The girl said she had seen the execution in front of her eyes.
