Can Anyone Give Me Advice On Things To Do, See, Avoid Etc?

Watch out for redback spiders.  They are very small and usually live under toilet seats , not so much in cities but in the outback.  They bite and the results are extremely painful, but not deadly.  Obvious be careful of snakes, again particularly in the outback.  Watch the sun.  It burns very quickly I believe because there is a problem with the ozone layer down under.

A great trip I have done is along the Great Ocean Road.  If you have a campervan while you are there, this is not to be missed.  Again, the Great Barrier Reef is a must.  I think Bondi Beach is over rated, but a little further along the coast is Manly Beach which is much nicer.

The capital Canberra is weird.  Because it was purpose built, I feel it has no soul.

Australia is a huge country, but in a year you should see a lot.

If you have time, why not go to New Zealand.  It is a beautiful country and is quite different to Oz.
