First of all I don't recommend you put another ceramic floor over existing tile. You should remove the existing tile first. If you have any issues with your existing tile, such as chipping your overlay floor will never hold. The top surface is only as good as what is underneath it. But as I said, you need to just remove the existing floor and start over. It could save you many headaches later.
