    In exclusive regard to its target market, a marketer should concentrate on specific areas, which facilitate the development of a successful positioning of a brand with relation to its target market.

    The first area of concern is the possibility of the target market actually recognizing itself as the actual people whom the brand is targetting. Also the marketer should ruminate about his own clarity regarding the target market. Whether he is clear on the demographics and psychographics of the target market. An issue of vagueness or ambiguity could really lead to disastrous results. And of course, one should always make sure before launching a brand and designing its target market that reaching the target market is a feasible option.

    Other than that, the marketer should also empathize with the target market, putting himself in their position and think about what exactly is so attractive about the brand that I should buy it. Is the benefit offered by the brand attractive enough for me to go ahead and spend money on it? This will help the marketer develop the positioning in accordance with the tastes of the target market.
