    The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Center is located at 81-83 High Street in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire where the celebrated author actually lived for a substantial period of time. The museum opened to the public for the first time on June 11, 2005 and is situated on the site of an old coaching inn; here one can see and live the magical world of Roald Dahl come alive before one's eyes.

    The museum also features several archived material of the master writer that includes notes, manuscripts and photographs. The museum also has a number of interactive activities where children can let their creative instincts go wild and emulate the great writer.

    The museum has been set up at a cost of 4.3 million pounds with funding from Dahl's publishers, family, the Heritage Lottery fund and the Arts Council. One of the main attractions of the museum is a replica of Dahl's hut where he spent most of his time in perfecting his art.
