The IMAX centre in New York City is located at the Palisades Centre (also called Palisades Mall). The IMAX centre is located alongside the 21-screen AMC theatre in the west-central area on the fourth level of the mall. The Palisades Centre is located in West Nyack, New York. It is the largest shopping mall in New York City. The mall is currently owned by the Pyramid Group of Companies (EklecCo). The Pyramid Companies are the original developers of the mall as well. The Palisades Centre is managed by Peter Janoff, the general manager of the mall, on behalf of the Pyramid Companies.

The Palisades Centre opened in the month of March 1998. It has over 400 stores and services. The mall also has 16 anchor tenants and 9, 279 parking spaces. Apart from the four levels in the mall, there are also facilities for underground parking in the basement of the mall. The Palisades Mall covers a total area of about 2, 850, 000 square feet or 256, 500 square metres.
