Can You Grow Yellow Squash In Flower Pots Or Containers, And If So How?

I am growing squash in my little garden and it's taking up so much room other vegetables aren't getting enough sun

    You can plant three to five seeds in a 4 to 6 inch pots in a
    peat based potting soil and, after germination and 3 to 6 inches of growth has
    reached, transfer the whole pot as a squash hill in the garden. The best soil temperature for proper growth should be 70 to 95 °F. For more information please click here.Have a nice day :)

    just so you know I experimented with one of the plants. first of all the plant was Hugh. I took it out of the garden and put it into a very very large pot. the leaves that were there died, but new growth started and now it is starting to get new flowers. so we will see what happens. thanks for your help.
