If you are a stock holder of publicly traded shares, you will not benefit directly from the depreciation of the assets. However if the depreciation of assets reflects or in some way affects the financials of the company in a positive way and thereby improving the evaluation of the company and the stock appreciates due to that - you will stand to gain from the increase in the stock price provided you sell the shares!
