I am trying to find out the ratio dogs to children are living in the London borough of Islington. I can find from the ONS website that 30,531 Children lived in Islington June 2005 but not how many dogs can you help?

I did a few internet searches but came up with nothing. I know this may seem like a strange idea but I found a dog rescue site in the UK: www.dogpages.org.uk Perhaps a well-worded question to them could point you in the right direction? Someone there may be able to point you to the UK equavilant of the US "Humane Society" and someone there may know the answer to your question. Another possibility is doing this search at Yahoo: "UK distributors of dog products", it gave me quite a few sites. Distributors of dog products have an interest in marketing statistics and someone at one of the companie's marketing departments may have some statistics for you. That's the best I could do!
