Keeping the skin on your face moisturized, but not oily, is very good for it. Using products that make it feel dry will only age it faster as you mature. You'd want to check out different products -- if you prefer a liquid cleanser, then when you shop, you need to look for one specifically for your type of skin. If you have oily skin, then you want to get a product that won't add oil and clog pores. If it's too dry, then you want extra moisturizing effects. If you prefer a soap bar (solid), some of the glycerine soaps (you can almost see through them), are very good on the skin. If the shampoo or liquid cleanser that you're using now is not for the facial skin, it would be a good idea to switch to a product that would be made just for the face.
I used to use a very good liquid product from Neutrogena, now I use only glycerine bar soap.
I hope that helped you out!

I don't think that you should use shampoo for you face. Try out the following steps if you want to treat your skin better:-
Use a good face wash twice a day (You can try Ponds or Loreal)
After drying your skin with a scented tissue or wet tissues (don't use towels or other clothes) apply moisturizer (try Dove or Johnsons)
However if you have some skin problems with the above listed product then you should consult a doctor or a skin specialist. Good Luck!!

If the shampooh isn't drying out your skin, making it oily, or causing acne I see no need to change what you use.
