Can I Use A Dual-band Celphone Perchased From The Philippines In Dubai?
I recently bought a nokia dual band phone, i just wonder if i can use that in dubai, ill be leavin next week, pls shed some light!

I suggest you trade your phone in for a quad-band that you can take anywhere in the world. It's easy to make such deals in the Philippines; check the used cell-phone stands in the shopping malls.
Since you have a week before departure, check with a local SMART or GLOBE rep on services available for OFWs. Since there's lots of Pinoys in the UAE, they can advise you with certainty. If you currently use SMART, check into their Pinoy SIM that will make it easier to stay in touch with your family/friends in the R.P. Can't tell you what GLOBE offers, as I'm a long-time SMART customer. Good luck, and happy trip!
