What Is A Homepage?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A homepage is a Uniform Resource Locator that is automatically set up on a web page, start page or front page. It is generally a search page or a start-up page or a web page that provides resources to other web pages, these could also include hyperlinks. If there is more than one page it is known as a personal website rather than a personal web page.

A homepage website address generally ends with .com, .edu, .org, .gov or .countrycode. Some of its common names include index.html, main.html and default.htm. In places like Germany and Japan they don't generally have homepages they have on websites that refer to the company or organisation.
