What Is The Difference Between Tap Water And Distilled Water?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Tap water is often treated with chemicals such as fluoride to help keep it clean, and may contain a host of other dissolved substances, as well as suspended dirt and metal from the pipes it's carried in.  Distilled water does not contain these chemicals and particulates (or at least, it only carries minute amounts) because it's condensed from pure water steam.
