Us visa is not very easy to get. You have not mentioned your country of origin otherwise it would have been easier to give you specific information. If you want to visit as a tourist, you would have to apply for a non-immigrant temporary visa. For applying for that visa, you would need a valid passport, The related visa form numbered, Form DS-156a, a passport size photograph, proof of funds for the visit and stay, details and letter from the sponsor. You would need to submit all these documents to the American Embassy or Consulate of your country. See the link below for details:

What country are you from? It should be easier for him to get a visa to visit you in your country and then spend time with you there and if you are right for each other the visit will work as proof of a relationship and it will be easier to get a fiancee visa.
