Heatup,
The most common causes for a swollen eye are conjunctivitis (superficial infection of the eye), allergic reaction (often to bug bites), and trauma. With conjunctivitis you will often see green or yellow discharge and the white part of the eye becomes very red. Conjunctivitis is not contagious from your dog to you, or to other dogs in the house.
Allergic reactions often result in facial swelling around the eyes, muzzle, and lips. Bendaryl at a dose of 1 milligram per pound of body weight can be given by mouth three times daily for 2 days.
If the swelling does not resolve and the discharge continues in the next 12 hours take your dog to be examined by your veterinarian.

Try putting a warm tea bag on it 3 times a day. This will draw out any infection and try giving her some benadryl.
