Where Can I Find A Good Manual Knitting Machine Capable Of Taking Bulky Weight Yarns?

I have an old manual but the heavier yarns skip the needles when the carriage passes across the project. Is it necessary to purchase on that takes the punch cards and fully automatic?

Is this for commercial production or for occasional home use?
    What do you call "bulky"?
I have an Ultimate Sweater Machine that will handle some, but not all, bulky yarns.  I wouldn't try it with Lopi, as an example.

"Punch cards and fully automatic" have little or nothing to do with handling heavier yarns.  The guides, needles/hooks and the tensioning system must be able to handle larger yarn.  Irregular yarns (i.e. Lopi) offer additional problems.

Moving too quickly and too-tight tension are the commonest reason for skipped stitches.

As a side issue, moving too quickly with a manual knitting machine can also stress wrists, courting carpal tunnel syndrome.

thanks, I think I move the carriage to quickly and will pay more attention to the tension settings. I already have carpel tunnel synd.
