What Is The Biggest Selling Pop Album Of All Time?

The biggest-selling pop album of all time goes to Michael Jackson with his album Thriller. Michael Jackson was only 25 when he released what was to make him a global icon. However, Michael originally made his debut into music when he was just four years old when he joined his brothers in the legendary, The Jacksons. He made his first hit at the age of 12, sharing the charts with the likes of Jimi Hendrix and the Doors, and was already the subject of much media speculation concerning his eternal childhood.
Thriller was released by Epic records on December 1st 1982 and shot straight up the charts with sales estimated over 51 million copies.
According to the Guinness Book of Records, Thriller but some sources put the figure closer to 60 million. In the U.S, Thriller is the second best-selling album of all time with 27 million copies sold. The Eagles - Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) is currently the best-selling album in the United States.
