This is a fact that every car has a different stereo from the stereos of other cars. There is no formula or particular rule regarding the voltage. On condition that you continue within the suggested power range of your speakers, growing power will constantly add richness and profundity to your music. Evaluate a spinet piano to a concert grand and you will find that the little piano is superior enough to play music plainly, but move up to a grand and you will achieve better tone, superior harmonic feature, and additional volume. In simple words you can say that a bigger instrument will always have more powerful features and this is why it will be played producing better quality of result.

As far as the performance of your car sound system is concerned, it may depend upon the efficiency of the speakers. If you have installed higher quality speakers then the performance of the sound system will be better. It also depends upon the quality and excellence of the woofer and also on the subwoofer if you have installed that.

I am a pretty big fan of car audio systmes and have one myself. I spent more then most but if you want to get peak performance and you want to do it somewhat cheap i would recommend you go down to a best buy for instance which is always running sales and get yourself a new Head Unit which is the radio and possibly think about running your cars audio speakers into an Amp which will allow for peak performance. Myself I have top on the line speakers and 2 12" sub woffers and i run my speakers into a 4 channel amp and you need to find one that produces more wattage out of the amp then your speakers so that you do not blow the amplifier and kill your speakers. If you wanted to just get speakers you can go to best buy i like alpine and Focal myself Focal is more upscale and then if you looking for subs alpine is the best but make sure everything is run off of amps. I would start by getting a better head unit though because the RMS which is like wattage will increase and that may only cost you 300 dollars if that's all your trying to do is get better sound out of your speakers. But if you want an overall system go get an Alpine or Kenwood head unit with alpine speakers either type S or R's run off of an alpine 4 channel amp and if you do subs i would go with alpine type S or R's if you got the funds to do it and of course that gets run off a subwoffer amplifier.

      Hope this helps
