What Is The Position Of The Various Cities Of The United States In The Realm Of The Categories Of Pollution?

Although the report of the American Lung Association has detected a decrease in the level of pollution in Los Angeles, it still remains the most polluted city of the United States affected by all three types of pollution inclusive of ozone, short-term soot pollution and long-term soot pollution. Regarding the type of ozone pollution, which is the first category of pollution proposed by the American Lung Association, the cities of Houston, Dallas, New York (the city not the state), Washington D.C. and Philadelphia have scored the status of the worst polluted cities. As for soot pollution (also called particle pollution), the cities that were most affected by this type of pollution were inclusive of Washington D.C. and Philadelphia, who were also amongst the worst polluted cities in the regard of ozone pollution. Other cities that are worst affected by pollution (soot or ozone) include the likes of Detroit, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Chicago and Baltimore.
