Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

The word livery is a noun and it refers to a kind of colour that is particular to a company. Usually the term is used to refer to the colours of planes or vehicles that signify that the particular plane or vehicle belongs to a certain company. The following sentences can make the meaning of the word quite clear to you as it is used in context: the livery of the 'Go On' air is red. This sentence says that the colour with which people identify the flights of that particular company is red.

Sometimes the word is also used for the particular kind of uniforms that the servants and official wear but this use of the word is no longer in popular use and the first mentioned use is the only one advisable for you to use.
