Just Got 2 Goldfish On Sat. 1 Died Yesterday And I Cleaned Out The Bowl.Why?
Will my other one start to die to I just want to know how one could die and the other be ok. It is at the top alot now it was yesterday till I cleaned out the bowl now it's doing it again. Will it die also?

Just because one died does not mean the other will certainly follow. The other goldfish might have been older or had some other type of issue going on with it. Now if the other goldfish was suffering from some type of illness that spread to the one that is still living it could be an issue. If the goldfish is under stress cleaning out the bowl might have stressed it further. Make sure to keep an eye on the pH and ammonia levels to make sure they are within acceptable ranges. Does your goldfish look different in anyway? Do you see spots on any of his fins or anything that appears out of character?

Goldfish need lots of space a good rule of thumb is 3 gallons per 1 inch of fish. The bowl probably isn't big enough, and you are getting high ammonia levels and a bacterial spike. The bacterial spike is normal with a new tank, and frequent water changes are needed....
