What Is A Warr Guitar?

The Warr guitar or as it is alternatively called, the tap guitar, is a musical instrument that was created by Mark Warr. It closely resembles an ordinary electric guitar, but can be played with techniques that are called as 'touch-style', that is, like a Chapman Stick, and it can be strummed and plucked as well. Conventional bass guitar methods like slap and pop can also be made use of. Owing to the distinct positioning of the strap holders, the instrument can be played in an upright, conventional touch-style and double bass position, or even by holding it in a horizontal manner, in the likeness of an electric guitar.

The Warr Guitar can be strung and tuned in many different ways. Any number from seven to fifteen strings may be used to build this kind of guitar.
