If you have only just got over your partner and it took you a year then you should not get back with him, why is he interested now is it because you are no longer interested in him. You need to look to the future and try and continue to live your live you have managed to do it for a year with out him and you can go forwarded. Try this new crush and take things slow , good luck. I would go for the new crush. If things didn't work out in the past with the ex, what has changed?
But, you need to be concerned about your child, too. Don't bring a lot of different guys into their life, it can be very confusing. I am sure you feel the need for love after a year of being single, but just take things slow, and remember, it's not just about you anymore.
