Why Is Domestic Violence Important For The Audience?

Some people will literally NOT see a film if it is too violent especially with scenes of violence against women and/or children.

Violence affects EVERYONE> i like to say.... Life is both supremely beautiful and extremely violent.  That is the truth of our world, we live in.

People cope with violence in a variety of ways. Its such an important topic, books and i mean text books could be written about it.

I will share some examples, some of these are my favorite movies. I am a violent person who has self control over that part of me. Martial arts, boxing, etc. Yoga first!!

A history of violence, film....violence and its effect on our lives, in families

soldier.....film, child abuse, and effect of violence on communities, post
               traumatic stress disorder.

Frailty,...film, this appears to be about child abuse and religious cults but
                its actually about hidden violence and societys inability to
                go after the predators.

Whats love got to do with it?.... Yeah, the ike and tina story. It appears to
                be about domestic violence, but its also about drug addiction and
                statutory rape, taking advantage of teen girls, etc.
All of these films are exceptional, and they all show the thread of violence
because violence is about patterns of predation, co-operation, lies, cover ups, and financial dependence.
