Is Shoiab Malik Good For The Pakistan Team As A Caption Or Not?

Well, It is very difficult thing to say that the Shoaib Malik is good for Pakistan or not but I think that he is a young Captain and he is also very attacking in his approach and this very tactic is useful for Pakistan. You just wait and watch and prepare yourself for future.

            Shoiab Malik, for sure, is an excellent player. He is someone who has had a strong learning curve and gone on to become a good player for Pakistan. He is an explosive batsman who has come good in crunch situations, and is also a handy spinner. As a choice, Shoiab Malik for Pakistan captain is excellent. He is young, talented, ambitious, and tremendously motivated. It is the young who feel the need to push forward and make a name, and from that perspective Shoiab seems to be the perfect choice.


            However, Shoiab will have to be strong as a captain. The one thing that goes against him is his age and also his inexperience as a leader, given that it is the Pakistan team we are talking about. They have always been a fractious lot, with internal rivalries (remember the Waqar vs. Akram times?), and it will be a tough task for a young guy like Shoiab to be able to hold together the entire team. The only person who has succeeded in this endeavor in recent history is Imran Khan, and Shoiab does not have the charisma of an Imran Khan to make the rest of the team look at him in awe and for guidance.


            May be Pakistan want to go the South African way and therefore have appointed a young captain. Malik will do well if he is able to motivate the team and also control the seniors in the team and not let them dictate terms to him. That is going to be a tough task, considering Inzamam-ul-Haw, despite being such a senior player, could not do much about controlling certain elements in the team.
