I went through a phase of that. It was a right giggle, till my mum got fed up of seeing my bum. So I went on to the skinny jeans!

Absolutely not!!! My kids have never nor will they ever be allowed to wear their clothes baggy unless they are in a circus show as a clown. The hat to the side is a no no also. these rapper freaks started this prison wear fad and young kids thought it was cool. It looked crappy and made others look at you not as a bad ass but a retard. The cops loved this cause it made it easier to catch the dumb asses . They'd start running and get tripped up in their drawers. Buy clothes that fit right. Be who you are, be proud of your culture white people!

I think if most teenagers were aware of where this trend originated, there would be less and less teens wearing their pants that way! Lol
I have 3 kids. The 2 oldest are 26 and and 24..They grew out of it.
My youngest is 17. He wears them a little baggy, but wears a belt to keep them up now, and doesn't waddle like a duck anymore! That used to drive me Crazy watching these kids waddle like a duck walking down the street and "constantly" pulling up their pants on and off while they were walking.

No, and if I had still had youngsters when this started I would have thrown out their clothing that fit that way. I am perfectly serious. I don't know if my oldest grandson has done it, he lives far away, but he's in the Navy now, so I know that isn't an issue if it ever was. The younger grandsons are 12 and under. Let me tell you, they try that stuff with Granny and they will be walking around without their pants. It terribly disrespectful to expect other people to have to look at that nonsense. Now that I know the origin of the trend, I shall enjoy relating it to the miscreants who practice this horrid fashion faux pas. It will be a refreshing change from my somewhat dangerous blurt "Pull up those pants right now!" A kindly little old lady whispering gently, "Oh sweetie, did you know that wearing your pants that way indicates you are someone's beeotch?"

LOL I would LOVE to see you do that! This makes my husband crazy, he has been known to shout at them to "pull 'em up or I'll de-pants you" It really is the worst fashion trend yet. My mother who grew up during the depression always comments that when they were young and had to wear hand me downs they always altered them by hand because they would have "died of humiliation" going out in clothes to big.

I hate them! Saw a kid wearing them BELOW his butt with a belt on them, his skivies showing, and he was on a skateboard. I don't know how he kept them from falling completely off. I remember guys wearing jeans in the '50's just below their waist. They use to refer to it as wearing pants at "half-mast"..

It started from hiphop music videos or rap. =) I have guy friends that sag though.
