How Does Someone Convert .86 Into Feet And Inches Trying To Figure Out So I Can Do It On A Calculator Thanks?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

First the .85 has have a unit with it. For example: .86 yards.
    .86 yard X36 inches/yard = 30.96 inches.

    .86 feet X 12 inches/feet.= 10.332 inches

The number .86 is unitless and is just a number unitil it has a unit with it.

Examples: Miles, feet, meters and inches.  Then you have to know what unit(s) you want to convert it to. As per the examples above.
