This Question Is Answered:
Am I Required To Pay Additional Security Deposit If The Monthly Rent Has Increased?
I received my lease renewal form today and the rent will be increasing by $100 per month and the additional $100 is being requested with the signed renewal agreement. I don't believe this is legal.

 It depends on two things:
- Firstly the legal contract with you and the owner, and if the contract is also renewed with these terms then you might have to pay the additional deposit.
- It also depends on the rental regulations of your state. So you can also check with them.

It's legal where I live, and it's specified in my lease.
