My 36-year-old Brother Just Had A Colonoscopy Today And While They Didn't Find Polyps, They Found 2 Red Spots. Also, When They Went Down His Throat, His Stomach And Lower Intestine Had Red Spots. What Could It Be?

My 61-year-old father had 2 polyps the size of quarters removed last year that were precancerous. My 40-year-old brother just had one last month and it was clear. My 61-year-old mother had a colonoscopy last month and there were a few very small polyps that they are not checking again for 5 years. My brother also has lost 40 pounds in the last 3-4 months without any major diet changes. He also has sleep apnea. Just wondering what this could be.

It is not possible to tell any thing about these red spots without seeing any reports like colonoscopy and different blood tests. These red spots can be simply infections or they can also be cancerous lesions but further tests and imaging like CT scan is required before final diagnosis. So, I will advise you to go for the CT scan for correct diagnosis of these red spots.
