When Did Aladdin (the Television Series) Make Its Debut?

    Aladdin was first aired on the 5th of September in the year 1994. It was based on the movie of the same name that was released in 1992. The central characters were Aladdin, princess Jasmine, monkey friend Abu and the much loved Genie with Iago the parrot and the villain Jafar. When it first started it was aired on Saturday mornings as a part of 'Disney Afternoon' and set the trend for the airing of future shows. The show enjoyed a lot of success and was instrumental in paving the way for other Disney shows in the future. The show hit home run with the audiences because of its unique mix of characters with fantastic adventure that was made even more entertaining with the voices of people like Dan Castellaneta and Robin Williams.
