We went on a fishing trip, and it was great, but the next morning when my poor husband got out of the tent, the dog, a bull dog, jumped up and slit his nose, in excitement, and so my husband had to go to the emergency clinic, found out that it was closed, so he came back to camp, and went back to fishing with a bandaid across his nose. He never got mad at the dog, it wasn't really his fault.

That would be a partially screwed up vacation back in 1977 when we drove down to Gibraltar from Rotterdam to go on holiday to Marocco and were just in time to see the ferry leave to Tanger we didn't want to wait for a day to get over as it only went once a day back then so we decided to tour the coast of spain and as we were the most southern point of spain it was a nice startingpoint,it took us three days to reach Gibraltar and as we drove straight trough we decided to go not to far as we had more then a month to enjoy ourselves so we went to Torremolinos and settled there for five days before moving on and in the better part of what turned out to become six weeks(thankfully we were selfemployed back then and could stretch our time) we drove all the way up the coast stopping at little places or big city's to stick around a few days to a week to Llorrett de mar which was the highest coastal place we visited close to the french border.
From there we drove across the tollroads in france in just over 16 hours straight home which we made with just a few hundred dollars to spare after tallying all the receipts we drove over 9000 miles and spend well over $20000.00 in gas lodgings food and souvernirs and had a ball doing so.
