What Encourages The Youth To Engage In Pregnancy?

Different things, including: Peer pressure, poor parenting, desire to be loved (by somebody - the baby and/or the baby's father), misguided goals (thinking a child will solve their problems and fill an emotional vacuum), desire for independence (thinking once they have a baby they will be considered adults), myths - believing that unprotected sex doesn't always end in pregnancy (why me factor), etc.

Girls often get pregnant when they believe the boy will love them for ever whereas many boys will say they love a girl just to get sex.  The girl believes she will have someone to love and who will love her - not realising what a lonely hard life she is likely to face as a single parents.  Often they do it to get away from their parents.  Many girls are very immature and do not realise the full implications of love and having sex. Some see it as a way of getting housing or citizenship.  They are encouraged by flattery and romance.  If I had a pound for every male on holiday who asked me to fix them up with a British bride I would be a rich person.  I would be a lot happier if all the single young mothers I have had to assist over the years had been in a good strong relationship and my work had not been needed.
