    What Would You Feed A Painted Turtle???

    Because I found a painted turtle in the street it's small and I want to keep it for a pet but I don't know what to feed it??? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

    I've caught 3 so far and put them in my little pound. You might want to be careful turtles can give you salmonella. Luckily I didn't get it. In the wild, painted turtles are omnivorous—they eat fish, insects, plants, fruit, carrion, and anything else they find. Here at Warner Nature Center we feed them crickets, minnows, red worms, mealworms, and Reptomin (commercial reptile food). Go here for more information: www.smm.org
